- Press your fingers on the tendon and bone surroundings. Feel the beat? Congratulations, you've found your pulse.
- Now count the beats for 10 seconds, multiply by 6 and calculate your heart rate.
During the exercise, it is easier to check the pulse of your neck, using two fingers on the carotid artery. By the way, you should not use your thumb when checking the heart rate because sometimes he has a pulse.
If you're reading this while sitting down and resting pulse rate should be between 60-100. This is a normal range for an average adult. But if you notice that your pulse is higher than 90 on a regular basis, you should speak with your doctor.
People who are more active may be a decrease in heart rate, around 40 or 60, depending on their routine daily exercise. But weak pulse may be abnormal and dangerous, especially if there is a general feeling of fatigue and low energy.
